The searchable, centralised archive of Australian FOI releases

FOI Forest publishes Atom feeds so you can monitor new disclosure log entries without visiting the site. There is a combined feed covering all agencies, and a separate feed for each agency if you only want to follow specific ones.

Atom is an open feed format supported by all feed readers. If you haven’t used a feed reader before, About Feeds is a good starting point. Popular options include Inoreader and Feedly (both have free tiers and good filtering). If privacy matters to you, a cloud reader can see what you’re subscribed to — self-hosted readers like FreshRSS and Miniflux avoid this, though they require a server to run on.

Combined feed

The combined feed includes new entries from all agencies as they are collected and is updated each weekday. Copy the URL below into your feed reader to subscribe.

Per-agency feeds

Each agency has its own feed. Most feed readers let you subscribe to multiple feeds and read them together, so you can build your own selection. Click Copy URL next to any agency to copy its feed URL, then paste it into your feed reader.

Using feeds effectively

New entries appear in the feed as they are scraped, which means the date in your feed reader reflects when FOI Forest collected the entry, not when the decision was made. Entries can appear months or years after the original decision if an agency updates its disclosure log belatedly.

Most feed readers let you filter by keyword. If you are only interested in entries mentioning a particular topic, filtering in your feed reader is more precise than subscribing to a per-agency feed, and FOI Forest never sees what you are filtering for.
